Yarn stash

Record care and hook pairings

Wash-day instructions, hook pairings, and how the yarn behaves.

  1. Step 1: Save the care instructions

Record how the yarn wants to be treated: wash, dry, iron, bleach, and dry clean. Once it is saved, you can recycle the paper label guilt free.

  2. Step 2: Note your favorite hooks

Add the recommended hook sizes, plus your own notes. Maybe the label says 5.0 mm but you like this yarn tighter at 4.5; that note lives here.

  3. Step 3: Capture gauge and character

Record gauge and tension, and add free-form characteristics like splitty, soft, or great stitch definition. The little things you notice about a yarn are worth keeping.
